The Role
The role will be primarily based in 4C's Headquarters in Hammersmith, and will be working within the larger Outsourced Procurement Services and Consultancy team resource pool responsible for supporting the procurement projects we manage on behalf of our various clients. The job may require travel.
The Manager plays an overarching role in the team, taking overall responsibility for project delivery and where applicable expanding the remit of those projects / engagement to the mutual benefit of 4C and our clients. The role will involve the proactive identification of opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvements across projects, along with new business development activities. These may be in terms of direct or indirect cost savings, through improved supplier service delivery, to developing and implementing improved processes and approaches as part of new best-practice procurement solutions.
Managers may manage teams of client and / or internal resources and will be the client's primary point of contact for the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing client engagements
- Leading and delivering one or more concurrent projects, including project and resource planning, stakeholder engagement, team management, strategy development, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, supplier contract implementation and supplier relationship management
- Responsible for mapping and driving stakeholder and vendor base to meet engagement and project objectives
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities within existing client relationships
- Assist the development of Knowledge Management across the business and lever best practice across clients and assignments wherever possible

They will have the capacity to deliver outstanding consulting work to tight deadlines while being focused on more than one project at a time in addition to:- Leading by example and taking ownership for staff / projects / clients
- Excellent analytical skills (ie. spend, benchmarking, analytical delivery)
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to lead senior level supplier negotiations
- Ability to understand and implement client sourcing / procurement policies and procedures
- Motivating self and others in the creation of realistic goals and strategies
- Understanding and applying Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) concept in constructing complex tenders and evaluation criteria
- Experienced in handling dispute resolution and conflict
- Negotiating and developing bespoke T&C's for large and/or complex requirements
- 5+ years strategic sourcing experience in a top-tier consulting firm or
- 5+ years blue chip procurement experience
- Managing and delivering procurement projects and / or teams
- Working within delivery focused client environments
