Corporate and social responsibility
Given the nature of services that we provide through 4CX and the more prevalent risks that exist due to global sourcing and supplying some of the world leading brands, we work actively with all our suppliers to ensure they are fully compliant with all of our policies and with those of our clients. A robust quality assurance process is central in ensuring our suppliers comply with all the relevant codes, all of which are embedded within our agreements with all approved suppliers.
4CX is a member of SEDEX – the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange – the SEDEX system has been designed to enable companies to maintain and share data on labour practices in the supply chain and allows visibility in order to drive and demonstrate improvements.
4CX has ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification which are recognised internationally as standards for an organisation's internal Quality Management (ISO9001) and Environmental Management (ISO14001) systems.
Required Standards – Our core standards are based on the United Nations Global Compact which asks companies to embrace, support and enact, within their sphere of influence, a set of core values in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment, and anti corruption. All suppliers are required to sign off the Corporate Social Responsibility – Environment Policy agreement and in doing so accept that they will meet the standards we set. Using questionnaires, audits or inspections we can confirm that suppliers are compliant.
Human Rights – We recognise our responsibility under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to promote and protect human rights throughout our business operations. We expect suppliers to adopt a similar approach and, in particular, expect all suppliers to observe the fundamental principles and rights at work as set down by the International Labour Organisation.
Through the group we seek to help developing nations in practical ways such as Phulki, a Bangladeshi not for profit organisation that works to promote human rights for factory women and their children in Bangladesh.
Ethical Business Practice – We are committed to conducting our business responsibly and in accordance with all relevant laws and regulations. Beyond this, our Code of Business Conduct sets out the standards expected of all our employees and agents acting on our behalf. In managing our suppliers we always endeavour to behave professionally, responsibly and transparently, measuring our performance, encouraging stakeholder feedback, and making appropriate improvements.
Environmental Impact – Our environmental policy sets out our commitment to conduct our business in a way that supports environmental sustainability. We expect all suppliers to demonstrate a similar commitment to the environment recognising the key impacts of their business and have appropriate management systems in place with which to monitor these.
