4C's Director of Marketing Services, Johan Denekamp, was the lead consultant on our media review. We were introduced to 4C by our parent company, HBOS, who used them to lead a group wide review of all of their media agency arrangements. Johan's background, with senior-level expertise in both finance and advertising, meant that he was uniquely placed to understand the complexities and issues of achieving our cost saving objectives from both a marketing and procurement perspective. In addition to exceeding the savings target, the agency relationship was strengthened and better value is now being received. We were so pleased with the initial media work that we requested he also review both our BTL and PR arrangements - again, with Johan's help, the targets have been surpassed without damaging agency relations or limiting the goals of the marketing teams.
