Procurement solutions provider 4C and United Biscuits are shortlisted in the ‘Best Cross-Functional Team’ category in partnership with client United Biscuits.
London, UK 16th June 2010- 4C Associates, a leading procurement solutions provider today announces being shortlisted for their sixth Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Excellence Award. In collaboration with their client United Biscuits, 4C have been shortlisted in the ‘Best Cross-Functional Team’ category for their logistics work, creating cross-functional teams within United Biscuits comprising of procurement, finance and logistics personnel in addition to logistics and ingredient suppliers in a collaboration that resulted in significant savings and a greener, more sustainable supply chain. 4C Associates began managing United Biscuits’ indirect procurement spend in 2008 in a second generation outsource which was expanded in 2009 to include the UK indirect categories and a total spend under management of £171m.
