GSCOP
Recent research carried out by the Grocery Code Adjudicator found that 71% of suppliers have very limited knowledge of GSCOP. However, for their organisations to thrive, suppliers need to be prepared with all the knowledge, strategies and negotiation skills.
Suppliers supplying designated retailers need to be familiar with the Grocery Supply Code of Practice (GSCOP) and its 17 rules, plus the context and the overarching principles of it. GSCOP sets out the boundaries of right and wrong in retailer-supplier dealings. Having a good working knowledge of GSCOP enables you to legitimately push back on any awkward request and to agree on a more fair and amicable solution to maintain good collaboration.
4C Associates are an approved GSCOP training provider recognised by the office of the Grocery Code Adjudicator (GCA). We provide face-to-face and virtual half day and full day workshops which can be tailored to work through specific current issues that you may have. At the end of the workshop, you will have individual ready to action plans, and following the workshops, our experienced trainers will keep in contact with you to guide you through the plans.
Our training officers have trained more than 3,000 people from retailers and over 40 suppliers, and have extensive senior level multiple grocer, discounter and independent business experience and use a broad spectrum of examples to bring to life the training.
